Non woven Hydrophobic fabric is a type of material that repels water and other liquids. Unlike hydrophilic nonwoven fabric, which attracts moisture, hydrophobic nonwoven fabric works to keep you dry by repelling liquids from contact.
Hydrophobic nonwoven fabric is composed of synthetic fibers such as polypropylene, polyester or nylon that have been processed into a nonwoven material through techniques like meltblowing, spunbonding or needle punching. Once dry, the fabric is then treated with an antimicrobial coating or chemical finish which repels water and other liquids.
